Memorial services for former Waukon, Iowa resident, Ronald J. Snitker, age 90, will be held Saturday, June 28 at the First Presbyterian Church in Waukon, Iowa. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, Iowa.

Ronald J. Snitker was born February 7, 1907 in Allamakee County, Iowa. He married Lorrayne Byrnes who died on December 9, 1944. In 1946, he married Leota (Phipps) Ehde. He operated a dairy farm north of Waukon, Iowa. In the 1960's he and Leota retired to Waukon, Iowa. They left Waukon in the late 1980's when they moved to Hawaii for one year and then moved to Punta Gorda, Florida.

Ronald J. Snitker died February 9, 1997 in Punta Gorda, Florida. He was preceded in death by his first wife, 2 sons, Irvin Snitker, and Allan Snitker; and a grandson Ronald Darren Snitker.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Leota of Punta Gorda, Florida; 3 sons, Charles "Chuck" Snitker, Kenneth Snitker, and Ronald E. Snitker; and one daughter, Mary Kaye Ernst, in addition to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
