Funeral services for John M. Clauson, age 53, of Waukon, Iowa were held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 26 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Father John Moser officiated. Burial was in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Mike A'Hearn, Pat Corrigan, Gerald Schwartzhoff, Ron Clauson, Jim Norman, and Richard Howes.

John M. Clauson, son of John E. and Melinda (Erickson) Clauson, was born July 17, 1936 at Waterloo Ridge, Allamakee County, Iowa. He attended high school in Waukon, Iowa. On August 28, 1958 he married Ruth Anne Howes at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He was an iron worker and plant manager. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church.

John M. Clauson died Wednesday, May 23, 1990 at his home in Waukon, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, John J. Clauson of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin and William B. Clauson of Des Moines, Iowa; 3 daughters, Lori Clauson of Monterey, California, Jodi Clauson of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Mary (Ron) Regan of Waukon, Iowa; 3 grandchildren and a brother Henry Clauson of Indianapolis, Indiana.
