Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Funeral services for George W. Beisker, Jr., age 68, of Littleton, Colorado were held November 19 in Littleton. Burial was in Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
George, son of George and Alice (Ewing) Beisker, was born June 5, 1922 in Winneshiek County, Iowa. He grew up in the Allamakee County area. He married Hazel Gilson. He farmed and worked for Wright's Tree Service before moving the family to Colorado in the early 1960's.
He died November 13, 1990 due to a heart attack while cutting wood in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Marvin Beisker and Dean Beisker, and 1 sister, Georgia Riehm.
George is survived by his wife, Hazel; 9 children: Connie (David) Heins of LaPlata, Maryland, Jennifer (Gary) Mundt of Castalia, Iowa, Annette (Junior) Schnuelle of Blair, Nebraska, Mark Beisker of Newhall, Iowa, Steven Beisker of Littleton, Colorado, Debbie (Bob) Terrill of Elizabeth, Colorado, Alice (John) Remisosky and George Beisker III, both of Denver, Colorado, and Starlett (John) Buskizaric of Laramie, Wyoming; 21 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchileren; 4 brothers, John "Jack" Beisker, and Roger Beisker, both of Waukon, Iowa, David Beisker of Monona, Iowa, and Larry Beisker of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and 2 sisters, Virginia Kellison of Waukon, Iowa and Amanda Kelbl of Manilla, Iowa.
