Emma A. Schweinfurth, age 88, of Lansing, Iowa died Thursday, December 21, 1989 at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, Iowa. She was born June 19, 1901 in Lansing Township to Jacob and Louisa (Greiser) Schweinfurth. Emma never married. She worked for the Kerndt family and for a time she worked at Lansing Company.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 23 at United Methodist Church in Lansing, Iowa. Pastor Tomm Mattson officiated. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Ken Hanson, Jim Manning, Glen Connor, John Wood, Ralph Schellhammer, and Larry Schellhammer. Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Frank Schweinfurth, Carl Schweinfurth, and Edwin Schweinfurth, and 3 sisters, Clara, Martha, and Marie. She is survived by nieces and nephews.
