Funeral services for Florence Roedl were held Tuesday, September 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul's Lutheran church at Postville, Iowa. Rev. Julius Peterson officiated. Schutte Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery. Casket bearers were Dean Gunderson, Clarence Everman, Milo Heins, Eugene Mork, Jeff Hanson, and Ralph Hanson.

Florence Isabelle was the daughter of William and Edna (Schlegal) Grant. She was born November 13, 1926 at Somers, Montana. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. She graduated from the Missoula County High School. On August 19, 1947 she married Frank Joseph Roedl in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Missoula, Montana. She was employed by the Phillips Petroleum Company in Spokane, Washington for eight years. In 1955 their son was born. They have lived in the Spokane, Washington and Canton, Michigan areas. They moved to Postville, Iowa in 1961. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran church in Postville, Iowa and the Women of the ELCA.

Florence died Wednesday, September 18, 1991 while visiting her family in Missoula, Montana. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are her husband, Frank: a son, Frank Grant (Kristie) Roedl of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a grandson, Grant Joseph Roedl; 3 sisters, Bernice Jones and Jean (Arnold) Lien, all of Missoula, Montana, and Patricia (Walter) LeClaire of Anaconda, Montana; her mother-in-law, Betty Roedl of Missoula, Montana.
