Marvin Moe, age 77, of Alvin, Texas, formerly of the Village Creek/Lansing, Iowa area died Sunday April 11, 1999 of injuries sustained in a car accident near his home. Funeral service were held in Alvin, Texas.

Marvin was born January 6, 1922 to Jacob Hans and Mary Ann "Mame"(Warren) Moe. He grew up in the Village Creek area of Allamakee County near Thompson's Corners. He was confirmed at the Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church and attended rural schools in the area. Marvin served in the United States Navy and the Merchant Marines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Pat, and a brother Karl Moe.

Marvin is survived by a daughter, Cindy Dugas; a sister, Hilma Rathbun and 2 brothers, Walter Moe of Milton, Florida and Louis Atkin of Anchorage, Alaska and nieces and nephews.
