Waukon - Frieda Mathilda Chynka Hummel, 97, died Monday, Jan. 16, 1995, in Good Samaritan Center, Waukon, after a brief illness. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Karl Giese. Burial: Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Martin Funeral Home, where a military service begins at 4 and a Scripture service begins at 7 tonight.

Frieda Chynka and Alvin Hummel had at least 1 daughter Uvonne D. who married James Robert White. James & Uvonne had Denise M. (John "Jack") Hager, Dick, Cherie, Margo (James) Sweeney, Larry, Stan, Leah, Mark & Lisa.
