Rites Held For Mrs. Hansmeier
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 27, for Mrs. Louise Hansmeier whose death occurred at the Decorah Hospital on Thursday evening, followed a heart attack. The Rev. Walter Clausing officiated at the Salem Reformed Church in Ludlow, of which she was a member. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Hansmeier was the former Louise Klepper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Klepper, born July 13, 1873, in Detmold, Germany. At an early age she came to this country and the family settled in Ludlow township. On March 3, 1891, she was married to Herman Hansmeier. Together they farmed in Ludlow until the time of her husband's death, April 29, 1928; since that time she has continued to live on the farm.
She is survived by five children, John, Esther (Mrs. Walter Fiet), Emma, (Mrs. Arthur Stock), Reuben, all of Ludlow, and Dorothy (Mrs. Merle Haugen) of Decorah, nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Elmer, one daughter, Meta (Mrs. Martin Adam), and one grandchild, Joyce Stock.

Casket bearers were Robert, Richard, and Merlin Hansmeier, Reuben Adam, Irvin Flage, and Clifton
Christianson. Flowers were carried by Mrs. Martin Winkie, Mrs. Irvin Flage, Rosalyn Haugen, and Darlene Hansmeier.
