Carl E. Hilmer Rites Are Held

Carl Edward Hilmer, son of Ferdnand and Louisa Stolding Hilmer, was born in Ludlow township, Allamakee county, March 12, 1886. He passed away December 28, 1958, at the Nashua Nursing Home.

Carl Hilmer was confirmed in the Ludlow Zalmona Presbyterian Church. Most of his life was spent in Allamakee county. He had been in ill health for more than eight years.

He is survived by two brothers Albert Hilmer of Postville and Arthur Hilmer of Marion.

Funeral services were held at the Schutte Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 31, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the rites. Burial was in Frankville cemetery.
