Cletus "Bud" Wagner

Cletus “Bud” Wagner of Schererville, IN joined our Lord and Savior in paradise March 24, 2011. Funeral services were held Monday, March 28 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Schererville, IN with Rev. Ted Mauch officiating. Burial was in Lansing.
Bud was born in 1921 to Monica and Frank Wagner of Lansing. Bud was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He and his wife, Ginny, and family moved to Schererville, IN in 1957. He worked as an Ironworker and was known as “Wag” by his many ironworker friends and associates at Local #395.
Bud took great joy in building things, fixing what was broke, gardening, and woodworking. He was happiest working on a project with his children and grandchildren. Bud had a love for life that often expressed itself in his smile, which his family and friends will dearly miss.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia “Ginny”; four daughters, Ann (Mark) Ponzo, Gloria (Tom Casey) Wagner, Donna Wagner, and Sharon (Glenn) Krewson; two sons, David (Matilde) Wagner and Robert (Dixie) Wagner; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sisters, Leota (Dot) Pfiffner, Bernice Walleser, Dolores Walleser, and Lucille Wesseln; his brothers, Kenneth (Doris) Wagner and Clair (Kathy) Wagner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mildred; and a brother, Melvin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Calumet Area or St. Michael Catholic Church.
