Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Frank E. Wickham, Sr., age 65, of New Hampton, Iowa, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the Mercy Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30 at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, Iowa with military honors being conducted by the Fredericksburg Amvets. *The obituary did not list the burial place.*
Frank Everette Wickham, Sr. was born September 2, 1945 in Postville, Iowa, the son of Fay and Evelyn Lucille (Jones) Wickham. He received his education in Postville and graduated from the Postville High School in 1963. He was inducted into the United States Navy on August 21, 1963 and received an honorable discharge on September 1, 1966. while in the service, he married Gloria Gutierrez and to this union a daughter, Gloria, was born. The couple later divorced. On October 7, 1967 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, he married Phyllis Livingood. To this union four children were born. The couple lived in Waterloo, Iowa where Frank worked for John Deere. In 1976, they moved to New Hampton, Iowa where they made their home. Frank attended school to be an auctioneer in 1980 and continued in this career until retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Kendra in 1967.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; 2 daughters, Gloria Wickham of Waterloo, Iowa, and Tamara (Kody) Kottke of Fredericksburg, Iowa; 2 sons, Frank Wickham, Jr. of New Hampton, Iowa, and Chad (Laura) Wickham of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 9 grandchildren, Jerry Boyd, Jr., Brooke Ameling, Bethany Wickham, Jessica Boyd, Dakota Wickham, Mariah Wickham, Carter Wickham, Cade Kottke, and Quinn Kottke; and 1 sister, Sharon (Grant) Snitker of Waukon, Iowa.
