Ralph "Rocky" Buege
Ralph A. “Rocky” Buege, 73, of Waterloo died Saturday evening, March 19 at Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls of natural causes. Private family services will be held Thursday, March 24 at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel in Waterloo. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-7 p.m. Thursday. His body will then be cremated.
He was born July 3, 1937 in Waukon, the son of Elmer G. and Pearl N. Darling Buege. Rocky served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He married Gwen J. Bukatz December 2, 1962 in Waterloo. He worked at Rath Packing Co. for 10 years, Chamberlin Manufacturing for 25 years as a machinist, and then retired from Ohler Pump after 10 years of service. He was a member of the Waterloo Exchange Club and past chairman of the Chamberlin Credit Union Board.
Rocky is survived by his wife; his mother of Waukon; two daughters, Kimberly (Mark) Toler of Dallas, TX and Kelly (Skip) Johnson of Waterloo; one brother, Alvin Buege of Waukon; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Buege.Waukon Standard, March 23, 2011
