William C. Elliott, age 81, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died at his home Thursday, January 22, 1987. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 26 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, conducted by Mount Hermon Masonic Lodge. Dr. Gordon Freeburg officiated. Burial was in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

William was born July 9, 1905 in Vinton, Iowa. *The names of his parents were not listed.* He married Mary O'Brien* See note below.* on September 19, 1950 in Kahoka, Missouri. He retired in 1976 from Belden Hill after 40 years as a salesman. He was a member of Mount Hermon Masonic Lodge, El Kahir Shrine, Elks Club, Eagles Club, and United Commercial Travelers.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; a daughter Barbara Evans of Kalamazoo, Michigan, a son John Elliott of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Waukon relatives who attended the funeral are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth O'Brien, in addition to nieces and nephews Larry O'Brien of Madison, Wisconsin, Jack and Sharon Kotaska of Naperville, Illinois, Kurt and Kathy Bowermaster of Des Moines, Iowa and Dennis, Patricia, and Jennifer Rehder, also of Des Moines.

NOTE: Mary O'Brien was the daughter of Warren and Lena (Koehring) O'Brien of Waukon, Iowa. Mary was a sister to: Kenneth O'Brien, Leslie O'Brien, and Florence (O'Brien) Chapin.
