Relatives in this area have received word of the death *date of death in August 1985 unknown* of Marguerite Dierauer in Bismarck, North Dakota, a former Waukon, Iowa resident. Marguerite was born October 22, 1893 at Inwood, Iowa in Lyon County. She grew up and attended schools in Waukon, Iowa where she graduated from high school. She worked as a nurse in Waukon and in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. She was an Army nurse in World War I. She married Albert F. Dierauer on June 10, 1920 in Waukon, Iowa. They lived in Waukon until 1950 when they moved to Bismarck, North Dakota. Al died in 1957. She entered a nursing home in 1982.

Surviving are a son Daniel A. Dierauer of Bismarck, a brother Myron Barthell of Sun City, Arizona, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

NOTE:

Marguerite was the daughter of John Wilson Barthell and Luella L. Hodgson. She graduated from the Waukon High School in 1912. Her husband Albert Frederick Dierauer was born April 9, 1895 at Alma, Wisconsin. He is listed in the military records in Allamakee County for World War I. He had been a shoe repairman at a Waukon Shoe Store. He died August 25, 1957 and is buried in the Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, Iowa. Also listed in the cemetery records is a Paul Dierauer born December 24, 1924 and died December 24, 1924. He could be their son. It is also possible that Marguerite was brought back to Waukon to be buried next to her husband.

Marguerite and Albert had a daughter, Audrey, who was born January 8, 1926 and died in April of 1981. She was married to a Howard Lindsay.

Their son Daniel A. Dierauer was born March 25, 1929 and died January 12, 1992.
