Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Rose Lueck, age 85, formerly of the Dakota-Winona, Minnesota area, died Sunday, November 9, 1986 at the LaCrescent Health Care Center in LaCrescent, Minnesota. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 12 at the Fawcett Funeral Home of Winona, Minnesota with the Rev. A. L. Mennicke of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, of which she was a member, officiating. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona, Minnesota. Pallbearers were Milton and Thomas Lueck, Gerald Plagge, Donald Kermeen, Anthony Wieczorek, and Roger Haar.
Rose was born September 14, 1901 in Winnebago Township, Houston County, Minnesota to Henry and Dena (Dresselhaus) Krueger. She was a homemaker of the Iowa-Minnesota area. She married Norman H. Lueck on June 24, 1926 at New Albin, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband who died in August of 1969. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Alfred Krueger, Henry Krueger, Walter Krueger, and Albert Krueger, who all lived in the New Albin, Iowa area, and George Krueger who lived in the Caledonia, Minnesota area; and a sister, Mrs. Walter (Ella) Fetketter, who lived in French Creek Township, Allamakee County, near Lansing, Iowa.
