Services for Paul J. Czech, age 28, of LaCrescent, Minnesota were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28 in the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, LaCrescent. The Revs. Duane Bardseth and William Pearson officiated. Burial was in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, LaCrescent, Minnesota.He died Tuesday, March 24, 1987.

He was born May 20, 1958 in Iron Mountain, Michigan to Paul A. and Irene (Jendrzejak) Czech. Paul was a 1976 graduate of Armstrong Creek, Wisconsin High School. He received a degree in woodworking from the Green Bay Technical School, an associate degree in marketing sales at Northeast Technical Institute in 1980, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1983 with a bachelor of science degree in business. He was a member of the Armstrong Creek Parent Booster Club, the University of Wisconsin-Stout Advertising Club, the Marketing and Sales Club of which he was secretary from 1981 to 1982 and was the chairman of the University of Wisconsin-Stout Newsletter from 1980 to 1981. He received the University of Wisconsin-Stout Chancellor's Award in 1980-81-82-83.

He was an insurance agent with the Dairyland-United American Insurance Company, headquartered in Texas. He was the Central Insurance Agency Rookie of the Month in 1983 and was named a Continental Casualty Insurance Company Top 10 Sales Agent in 1983. He was listed in the 1985 outstanding Young Men of America.

On January 25, 1986 he married Dannette Durnan in LaCrescent, Minnesota. Dannette was formerly of Postville, Iowa and the granddaughter of Florence Hall of Postville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1974. He is survived by his wife, Dannette, a daughter, Heather Ann at home; his step-father and his mother Frank and Irene Majewski of Armstrong Creek, Wisconsin; and two sisters, Helen Brehmer of Armstrong Creek and Joanne Wuishar of Springfield, Virginia.
