Funeral services for Dorothea N. Siekmeier for Forest City were held Saturday, January 24 at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church, Forest City, Iowa with the Rev. Carroll Robinson officiating.

Dorothea was born near Waukon, Iowa on June 25, 1906, daughter of Anton and Martha (Klocke) Nolting. She married Arthur Siekmeier on November 27, 1929 and lived near Crystal Lake, Iowa on a farm until moving to Forest City, Iowa in 1956. Her husband died June 18, 1986 and since that time she had resided at the Good Samaritan Center in Forest City, Iowa where she died January 20, 1987 at the age of 80.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter Marilyn, a brother Albert Nolting and two sisters, Martha Kostman and Emma Felland.

She is survived by her children Allan Siekmeier of Mahtomedi, Minnesota, Donald Siekmeier of Ann Arbor, Michigan, David Siekmeier of Columbus, Nebraska, and Mrs. Richard (Diane) Johnson of Stillwater, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren; a brother Calvin Nolting of rural Waukon, Iowa; 4 nieces and 4 nephews.
