Funeral services are pending for 42 year old Arlan Schuttemeier, son of Martin Schuttemeier of Denver, Colorado and Leora (Zezulka) Ruedi of Aspen Way Pinenells, Post Falls, Idaho. Arlan was killed Sunday, September 29, 1985 in a private airplane crash along with his pilot in Utah.

Arlan was born July 27, 1943 in New Albin, Iowa and graduated from the New Albin High School. He married Elizabeth Mary Flanders on October 22, 1962 at Junction City, Kansas. He served in the United States Army and after his discharge he lived in New Albin. In 1964 he moved to Denver, Colorado where he lived for a short time. Presently he was living in Aspen Way Pinenells, Post Falls, Idaho.

He is survived by his mother Leora Ruedi; 3 sons Frankie, Johnny, and Dennie Schuttemeier, all of Aspen Way Pinenells, Post Falls, Idaho; his step-mother,* one step-brother and two step-sisters; aunts and uncles in the Waukon, Iowa and New Albin areas, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Zezulka, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Zezulka, Mr. and Mrs. John Breeser, and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schuttemeier.

* Note: The obituary stated that his father Martin was living in Denver, Colorado but the father is not listed with the survivors -- only his mother and step-mother.
