DIED. At his home near Forest Mills, on Friday, Nov. 27th, 1896, James P. Sawyer, aged 70 years and 7 months. Funeral at the Cherry Valley school house on Sunday, Rev. Harper officiating. Interment at Hardin.

Mr. Sawyer was an uncle of Mrs. F. Miller, and was well and favorably known in that neighborhood. He was a consistent and earnest member of the United Brethren church.
