Stanley J. Buege, age 77, of New Albin, Iowa died Tuesday March 25, 1986 in St. Francis Medical Center, LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Services were held Monday, March 31 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Albin, Iowa. The Rev. Robert Rahe officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Haugen-Roble Funeral Home of Caledonia, Minnesota was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Ken Buege, Dyrke Althof, Robert Blair, Jr., Steve Buege, Gary A. Meyer, Terry Buege, and Tim Meyer.

Stanley was born April 1, 1908 in French Creek Township, Allamakee County, Iowa to Herman and Margaret (Fink) Buege. He married Mary Teresa Dennis on September 18, 1928 in Caledonia, Minnesota. He was a construction worker and carpenter. He worked with the election board of Allamakee County.

He was preceded in death by a brother Elmer Buege and 3 great-grandchildren, Adam and Tori Pretzer, and Elizabeth Meyer.

Surviving are his wife, Teresa; 3 sons, Glen Buege of New Albin, Iowa, and Wayne Buege and Robert Buege both of Caledonia, Minnesota; 4 daughters Marcella Althof of Stoddard, Wisconsin, Mary Blair of Waubasha, Minnesota, Ellie and Grace Meyer, both of Caledonia, Minnesota; 2 brothers, Albert Buege of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Harold Buege of Ossian, Iowa; 37 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
