Herbert E. Taylor, formerly of Waukon, Iowa, died Sunday November 22, 1987 in Escalon, California. His body was cremated and a memorial service was held Tuesday, November 24 in Escalon, California.

Herbert was born June 11, 1906 in Waukon, Iowa to Herbert E. and Ann (Thomas) Taylor. He graduated from Waukon High School in 1924 and Waukon Junior College in 1926. He attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. He married Mabel Blazek on August 3, 1935. He worked in Onawa, Iowa at the State Bank until he retired and moved to Escalon, California in 1972.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel and two sisters, Betty Taylor of Waukon, Iowa and Ann Browman of Covina, California.
