Funeral services were held Monday August 31 for Marilyn F. Spinner, age 55, of Lansing, Iowa who died Thursday, August 27, 1987 at St. Francis Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Father Herbert Tegler officiated at the 10:30 a.m. services held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing, Iowa. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery with Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home of Lansing, Iowa in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Jim Manning, Jim and John Thorson, Bob Spinner, Tom Garrett, Tom Bannard, Pete Rethwisch, and Dennis O'Malley.

Marilyn was born May 28, 1932 in Lansing, Iowa to Clarence and Helen (Duffy) Spinner. She received a degree in social work from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. She was employed as a district school social worker with Keystone Area Education agency. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she was active in the choir and the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters, and a member of the Thornton Manor Nursing Home Board.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

She is survived by a brother, Joseph Spinner of Manitowoc, Wisconsin and two foster sons, Tracy and Troy Meyers.
