Funeral services were held Monday, June 22 for Patrick Manning, age 44 of Waukon, Iowa who died Wednesday, June 17, 1987 in a truck accident in Ft. Pierce, Florida. Father Larry Duenas officiated at the services held at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Roger Quandahl, Neil Barth, Joe Palmer, Mike Manning, Jerry Troendle, and Leo Troendle. Honorary pallbearers were Jan Sweeney, Wayne Howe, Ron Roese, Leon Hansmeier, Pat Curran, Dale Welch, and John Iseli.

Patrick was born June 15, 1943 in Waukon, Iowa to Harold and Evelyn (Troendle) Manning. He attended St. George High School in Lansing, Iowa. He married Linda Bublitz on December 30, 1967 in Waukon, Iowa. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church and a truck driver.

Surviving are his wife, Linda; 3 sons, Brian Manning, Scott Manning, and Glenn Manning, all of Waukon, Iowa; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Harold Manning of Lansing, Iowa; a grandchild; 4 brothers, George Manning, Ray Manning, and Steve Manning, all of Lansing, Iowa, and Vincent Manning of Eastman, Wisconsin; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Ed (Mary) Blake of Waukon, Iowa, Mrs. Larry (Susie) Blake of Dorchester, Iowa, and Mrs. Gerry (Jean) Dotzler of Mason City, Iowa.
