Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Caroline Lawson, age 87, of Caledonia, Minnesota died Monday, May 4, 1987 in Caledonia. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8 at Haugen-Roble Funeral Home in Caledonia at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mark A. Johanningsmeier officiating. Casket bearers are Tom Lawson, Greg Lawson, Wesley Lawson, Claude Moose, William Livingood, and Lynn Winter. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Caledonia, Minnesota. Haugen Roble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Caroline was born July 13, 1900 in Allamakee County to Edwin and Mathilda (Pecia) Livingood. She attended rural Allamakee County schools. She married Ellwood Lawson in 1917 in Allamakee County. She was a homemaker. They lived in Allamakee County and Houston County, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellwood; a son, Jean Lawson and her 9 brothers and sisters, Maud Miller, Abbie Winter, Stella Moose, Nellie Winter, Willard S. Livingood, Earl R. Livingood, Lynn M. Livingood, Charles Livingood, and Cecil Livingood.
Surviving are three sons, Howard Lawson of Waukon, Iowa, Allen Lawson of Holmen, Wisconsin, and Earl "Jim" Lawson of Caledonia, Minnesota; a daughter Betty Vivian Hansmeier of Waterloo, Iowa; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
