Emilie Jordan, age 98, died Friday, July 11, 1986 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, Iowa. Services were held Tuesday, July 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Heinbuch officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, Iowa with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Ernest Fruechte, Edward Kurmann, Herbert Zarwell, Dale Robey, Hubert Jordan, and John Shafer.

Emilie was born April 23, 1888 in Lewiston, Minnesota to Rev. Konrad and Wilhelmina (Shafer) Bizer. Her father, Rev. Bizer, was a school superintendant and they lived in many towns in Iowa. She married Eric C. Jordan on June 22, 1911 at Wheatland Church in Allamakee County, Iowa. He died in 1964. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ. She was very active in Rebecca Circle, Missionary group and teaching.

Preceding her in death were a sister Anna and two brothers, The Rev. Armin Bizer and the Rev. Carl Bizer.

Survivors include a son, The Rev. Paul C. Jordan of Lowden, Iowa; 3 daughters Esther Tabatt of Waukon, Iowa, Mrs. Francis (Ruth) Hartung of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mrs. Walter (Martha) Zollner of Joliet, Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Rev. Erich Bizer of Quincy, Illinois.
