Virginia A. Toedter, age 56, of rural New Albin, Iowa, died February 14, 1987 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa. Funeral services were set for Wednesday, February 18 at 1:30 p.m. at the New Albin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Milton Kading officiating. Burial will be in the New Albin City Cemetery with the Martin Funeral Home of Waukon in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Duane Rodenberg, Gary Leppert, William Juno, Randy Ellis, John Achterkirch, Jr. and Robert Loging.

Virgina was born April 28, 1930 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin to William and Laura (Ewert) Loging. She attended Barre Mills, Wisconsin country schools. She married George Toedter on June 5, 1954 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She had lived in LaCrosse for a time before they moved to their farm in 1961.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Loging and Leonard Loging.

She is survived by her husband, George; a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Barbara) Brainard of Luana, Iowa; 2 sons, Randy Toedter and Jim Toedter, both of New Albin, Iowa; 3 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Lawrence Loging of Mindoro, Wisconsin, Wilfred Loging of LaCrescent, Minnesota and William Loging of Pomania, South Carolina; and 6 sisters, Ethel Achterkirch of West Salem, Wisconsin, Helen Rodenberg of Bangor, Wisconsin, Elaine Purdy of Auburn, Washington, Leadria Loging of Bangor, Wisconsin, Betsy Baumer of Sparta, Wisconsin, and Mildred Britt of Orange, California.
