Memorial services were held Tuesday, March 14 for Harpers Ferry, Iowa resident Aileen M. Hansen, age 61, who died Saturday March 11, 1989 at Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. The 11 a.m. services were held at St. Ann-St. Joseph Catholic Church in Harpers Ferry, Iowa with Father Duane Raftis officiating. Interment was in St.Joseph's Cemetery with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Aileen was born January 28, 1928 in Waterloo, Iowa to Max and Mae (Gibson) Maust. She graduated from Waterloo West High School. On March 1, 1948 she married Lyman Joe Hansen in Waterloo, Iowa. She lived in Waterloo most of her life before they moved to Harpers Ferry, Iowa in 1983. He is a former Harpers Ferry mayor. She was a member of St. Ann-St. Joseph Church.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Aileen, in 1955.

Survivors are her husband, Lyman; 2 sons, Michael Hansen of Waterloo, Iowa and Scott Hansen of Dike, Iowa; 3 daughters, Mrs. Richard (Christine) Ridenour, Mrs. Bill (Ann) Begas, both of Bend, Oregon, and Mrs. Larry McWilliams, Portland, Oregon; 7 grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Maust of Hayden Lake, Idaho.
