William J. Wyse - 1938-1988

Mrs. Jess Toney returned home Monday from a few days visiting at the home of her niece, the Henry Kleppeks at Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Henry, Ruth Ann and Kay Kleppek and Mrs. Toney had been to the Youngstown, Ohio area for the funeral of William J. Wyse, age 50, who had died in Poland, Ohio on September 12, 1988 of cancer. He was born July 24, 1938 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of the late James and Olive (Pladsen) Wyse, former residents of the Waterville, Iowa. His wife Dianne died of cancer in 1985. Their children are: Mrs. Mark (Kim) Ohlin of Poland, Ohio, Mrs. Tom (Michele) Frost of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Fred (Julie) Tuke, Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio and grandchildren Sara and Sean Tuke. Also surviving are his sister, Mrs. Ruth Ann Kleppek, his second wife Carol, and step-children.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning September 15 at Cunningham Funeral Home in Poland, Ohio with the Rev. Robert Linse officiating. William Wyse was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.

William Wyse worked for Falk Corporation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for 22 years, and in 1978 joined XTEK in Cincinnati, Ohio for four years. In 1982 he joined Valley Mould of the Youngstown, Ohio area as vice-president of marketing and sales. A year ago he became a self-employed marketing consultant.

The Wyses have been frequent visitors at the home of his aunt, Ruth Toney and visiting other relatives in the Waukon and Waterville area.
