Funeral services for Mildred Hermanson, age 68, of Taylorsville Falls, Minnesota were held June 1 at First Lutheran Church, Taylors Falls. Burial was at Kahkabong Cemetery in Taylorsville.

Mildred was born on her grandparent's Rolfs farm near Frankville, Iowa in Winneshiek County on August 5, 1919, to Albert and Elise (Rolfs) Laterman. She died May 27, 1988 at the Good Samaritan Center in Taylors Falls. She graduated from Waukon High School and taught in the Ludlow township schools. On December 24, 1939 she married Vernon Hermanson from Waterville, Iowa. They farmed in the Almelund, Minnesota area until they retired in 1975 and moved to Taylors Falls. She was a substitute teacher in the schools there and was active in volunteer work.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Vernon Laterman.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon; 2 sons, Ronnie Hermanson of St. Croix, Wisconsin and Larry Hermanson of Center City, Minnesota; 2 daughters, Verna Moey and Rita Johnson, both of Taylors Falls, Minnesota; 2 brothers, Leslie Laterman of Postville, Iowa and Hartley Laterman of Waterloo, Iowa. She is also survived by an aunt and an uncle, Rosena and Marvin Winter, with whom she lived after the death of her parents.
