Mable F. Brzell, age 91, died Tuesday March 21, 1989 at Thornton Manor in Lansing, Iowa. Funeral services were held Monday March 27 at St.Joseph-St.Ann Catholic Church, Harpers Ferry, Iowa. The Rev. Duane Raftis conducted the 11 a.m. services and burial was in St. Joseph's Paint Rock Cemetery. Hanson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Kevin, Brian, Mark, and Steve Brazell, Tom Green, and Donald Gavin.

Mable was born July 12, 1897 in Harpers Ferry, Iowa to John and Mary (Delaney) Markwardt. She attended Harpers Ferry Schools. On September 19, 1920 she married Leo C. Brazell in Harpers Ferry. She was a member of St.Joseph-St.Ann Catholic Church and was organist at St.Ann's for over 60 years. She was a member of St.Ann's Rosary Society and the Harpers Ferry Senior Citizen Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband. Surviving are four sons, Maurice, John, Harold and Norbert Brazell; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
