Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 28 for Florence P. Metzdorf, age 89, who died Friday, March 24, 1989 at St. Joseph's Care Center, LaCrosse, Wisconsin. The 11 a.m. services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in New Albin, Iowa with the Rev. Henry Charipar officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home of Lansing, Iowa in charge of arrangements.

She was born July 23, 1899 to Peter and Rosa(Tefs) Metzdorf. Survivors include nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
