Funeral services were held Monday, June 26 for Harlan C. Haugen, 53, of Lansing, Iowa. He died June 22, 1989 due to complications of diabetes in Hillview Nursing Home in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. The services were held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lansing with the Revs. Peter L. Samuelson and Debra Von Fisher officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing, Iowa.

Harlan was born July 27, 1935 in rural Allamakee County to Herbert and Charlotte (Hanson) Haugen. He was a 20 year employee of the U.S. Postal Service and retired nine years ago due to health reasons. Surviving are an aunt and cousins.
