Former Waterville, Iowa resident Marie O. Lorentson, 86, died Thursday, May 11, 1989 in Duluth, Minnesota. Services were held Monday, May 15 at 2 p.m. at Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church, Waterville with the Rev. Lynn Groe officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Bell Brothers Funeral Home of Duluth, Minnesota in charge of arrangements.

Marie was born July 16, 1902 in Norway and lived in the Waterville area before moving to Duluth in 1952. *The newspaper clipping does not list the name of her parents* She was married to Einar Lorentson who died in 1952.

Survivors include two daughters, Margot Martens of southern Iowa and Lilly Peterson of Duluth, Minnesota; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and two sisters, Kristine and Olga, both of Norway.
