Florence Edna Hoth, 86, died Friday, June 30, 1989 at the Care Center Oshkosh, Wisconsin after a lengthy battle with cancer. A memorial service was held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Postville, Iowa at 1:30 p.m. on July 8, 1989. Burial was in the Postville,Iowa Cemetery.

She was born Jun 19, 1903, on a farm near Postville, the daughter of Charles and Sophia (Klemme) Hoth. She graduated from the Postville High School and the University of Northern Iowa.
She attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for additional college credits. Florence taught school for over 50 years, 25 of those years in Postville, Iowa. She was an active member of St.Paul Lutheran Church and for many years taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

She is survived by her sister, Hazel Behrens and five nieces and nephews; John Hoth, Salix, Iowa; Richard Hoth, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Donald Hoth, Lake Zurich, Illinois; Mary (Behrens) Brefeld, Winneconne, Wisconsin, and Kathryn Behrens, Bern, Switzerland.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Elmer and Clarence Hoth and one nephew, Charles Hoth.
