Services for Horace O. "Bud" Fossum, 60, of Waterloo, Iowa were held Wednesday,April 26 at Zion American Lutheran Church with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo, Iowa.He died Sunday, April 23, 1989 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa of cancer. He was born April 29, 1928 in Waukon to Otto and Maud (Outram) Fossum and graduated from Waukon High School. He attended Luther College in Decorah for one year, and served in the Army from 1946 to 1948. On July 14, 1956 he married Carol Orpen in Rochester, Minnesota. He was employed by Northwestern Bell as a cable splicer for 35 years, retiring in 1986. He was a charter member of the Sons of Norway in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Surviving are his wife, and a sister, Mrs. Donna M. Hanks of LeRoy, Minnesota. Garden View Chapel in Waterloo, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.
