Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 13 for LaVonne (Stuckman) Hill, 62, of Garden Grove, CA. She died Wednesday, September 6, 1989 at Hacienda Convalescent Hospital in Long Beach, CA. The Rev. Dr. Elsa Marsland will conduct the 1 p.m. services held at Salem United Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 11 at Brothers Mortuary in Long Beach CA.

She was born April 12, 1927 in Waukon, Iowa to Albert and Mabel Elsie (Flage) Stuckman. She attended Helming School in Ludlow Township. She graduated from Waukon High School in 1946 and cosmetology college in Dubuque, Iowa. She worked as a beautician for several years and worked at Interstate Power Company while still in Waukon. She had lived in California since the 1950's.

Surviving are two sons, Greg of Garden Grove, CA and David of Yorba Linda, CA; a daughter, Terri Hill of Seattle, WA; five grandchildren and two brothers, Robert and Victor Stuckman, both of Waukon.

Casket bearers were Nyles Herman, Ralph Snitker, Richard Stuckman, Durwood Schutta, Norman Dickman, and Donald Flage.
