Funeral services for Agnes Bowers were held Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville, Iowa. The Rev. Julius Peterson officiated. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Agnes Bowers, daughter of Frank and Julia (Anderson) Moen, was born March 30, 1896 at Cresco, Iowa. She died Wednesday, October 2, 1985, at Community Memorial Hospital in Postville. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. Agnes received her education in the Cresco Schools. On August 23, 1914 she was married to James Lee Bowers. They moved to Postville in 1924.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lee, who died August 22, 1957.
Surviving are four nephews, William, Edgar, Owen, and Bigelow Bowers and one niece, Bessie (Bowers) Johnson.

She was active in the Hospital Auxiliary when they were serving meals at the Postville Fair. She was also a member of the Republican Women's Club.

Casket bearers were: Clarence Tindell, George Friederich, Leslie Lawson, Al Handke, Arbie Bareis, and Virgil Fish.
