Clarence Dahms

Funeral services for Clarence F. Dahms, 77, were held Monday, June 4 at 1:30 p.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville. The Rev. Julius L. Peterson officiated. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Clarence Fredrick William Dahms, son of Fred W. and Elisa (Kluss) Dahms, was born in Clermont Township, Fayette County, April 12, 1907. He died Friday evening, June 1, 1984 at the Odd Fellows Home in Mason City.

He attended the rural schools and the Castalia School. Clarence worked in the area until 1951 when he moved to Mason City to manage the farm for the Odd Fellows Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Harvey, Gilbert, Lloyd and Earl.

Surviving are a brother, Wayne of Castalia; and three sisters, Ethel Meyer, Postville, Mabel Christofferson, Waukon, and Lorene Dahms of Madison, WI.
