Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Julie Ann Neseth, 56, died Thursday, August 8, 1996 in Desert Samaritan Hospital of Mesa, Arizona. She was born March 31, 1940 in Waukon, Iowa. She was the daughter of Clarence and Ramona (Wurtzel) Peterson. Julie graduated from Waukon High School in 1962, and did post graduate study in Minnesota colleges. On October 28, 1965 she married Bernard Neseth of Kenyon, MN. She was a teacher in the Kenyon school system for 17 years and was presented with a lifetime teaching certificate. They had been living in Mesa for the past ten years.
Survivors include her husband of Mesa; a daughter, Rhonda Liberty; a son, Brett Neseth, and a granddaughter, all of Gilbert, Arizona. Her father preceded her in death. Immediate family surviving in Waukon are her mother, and brothers, Roger and wife Sheryl, Norman, Laverne "Butch" and wife Patty, and Rodney Peterson.
Services were held Monday August 12 at 2 p.m. in Grace Lutheran Church in Nerstand, MN. The Revs. Daniel Raaen and John Hagen officiating. Burial was in Little Cannon Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home of Kenyon in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Doug Sahl, Lynn and Kerry Quam, Clay, Melissa and Jodi Kappedahl, and James Bischoff. Honorary bearers were Jonathan Dubin, Judy Mund, Earl Bonde, Nancy Bonde, John Shelstad, Gail Kielmeyer, and Terry Kielmeyer.
