Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 30 for Joe Mullen, 83, who died Wednesday, May 24 at St. Francis Hospital in LaCrosse, WI. The 11 a.m. services were conducted by Fr. Raftis, Fr. Lechtenberg and Fr. McDermott at Immaculate Conception Church, Wexford. Burial was in the Wexford Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He was born Aug. 28, 1905 in Wexford to Thomas and Della Keity Mullen and attended local schools thru high school. In September 1950 he married Mary J. Murphy in Storm Lake. He had lived in Lansing, and Prairie du Chien, WI. He was a farmer and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Lansing.
Surviving are his wife, a brother, John of LaCrosse, WI; four grand nephews and a niece.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Winifred, Loretta and Veronica Mullen.
Casket bearers were George and Alfred Delaney, Paul Gavin, Maurice Mooney, Ralph Callahan and Phillip Dehli.
