James McEwen

Former Resident Interred May 14

Masonic services were held Monday, May 14 in Crippen Mortuary Chapel at LaCrescenta, California for James N. (sic) McEwen who died May 10 in a Pasadena Hospital at the age of 61. Six members of the local lodge officiated. Private cremation and interment followed at Rose Dale Cemetery, Los Angeles.

James M.. (sic) McEwen was born in Postville, the only child of Lynn and Louise (Beucher) McEwen. His aunt, Ethel McEwen Marsh, resides in Chicago. His grandparents on both sides were among the early builders of Postville.

Twenty-five years ago he moved to LaCrescenta. Most of his adult working career was as an employee of Lockheed's California Co. in Burbank where he filled a number of different positions, finally graduating as an administrative assistant in engineering. He was the recipient of a 25 year service pin before ill health forced his retirement. Mr. McEwen was a member of Crescenta Valley Lodge #652 of A. & A. M.

He is survived by his widow Jeannette L. McEwen.
