The death of Gilbert Orness occurring on April 28th at the Veteran's Memorial Hospital after an illness of several months. Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church on Saturday afternoon at 2 P.M. with interment at Waterville Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. David Vaaler officiating.
Mr. Orness was born March 24, 1886 in Norway and immigrated to Wisconsin at the age of 21. He was married July 25, 1922 to Mary Ellefson of Waterville.
Survivors are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Donald Flage (Norma), and Mrs. Miles Bakken (Dosha), Minneapolis, Minn., and a son Gordon Orness of Marion, Ia. There are nine grandchildren and a sister who lives in Norway.
