Mr. Earl Russell was born December 25, 1900 and passed away Jan. 28, 1989. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. in the W.G. Carson and Son Funeral Home, Maquoketa, IA. Rev. Ron Arends of Salem Lutheran Church, Andrew, IA gave the message of comfort and Mrs. Pat Maze was the organist.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Rowland Sommermeyer, Dean Anderson, Paul Russell, Tracey Russell, Troy Russell and Scott Carroll.
He was buried in the Andrew Cemetery, Andrew, IA.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Marjorie Anderson, Frederic, WI; Helen Lundgren, Centuria, WI; Jane Carroll, New Albin, Donna Middendorf, Solon, IA and three sons, Daryl and Bob of Maquoketa, IA and James of Davenport, IA; also 33 grandchildren.
Mr. Russell was a sawmill operator for many years in the New Albin, IA area before moving to Andrew, IA
