Leslie C.Molgaard, 74, a long time Lansing barber, died Saturday, March 24, at his home in South Lansing. Death was from an apparent heart attack.
He was born January 6, 1905 in Alta, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. Martin Molgaard. He worked as a barber for 52 years, 23 of which were in Davenport. He also had be a barber in Lansing for 18 years prior to his retirement on September 24, 1977.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mabel Bischke, and a sister, Mrs. Herb (Elsie) Meyer of Tracy, Minnesota.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 27, at 1 p.m. at the Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, with the Rev. Edwin Barsness officiating. Burial was in St. Paul's Cemetery at Guttenberg.
Pallbearers were David Christoffer, Otto Schobert, Bob Maust, Don Shaffer,Tom Troendle and Murel Piech.
