George A. Anderson died at his home on Center Street in Lansing on May 20. Death came after a brief illness. Father Thos. Schwinn celebrated the Requiem High Mass on Tuesday morning and burial services were conducted by Monsignor Hintgen at Gethsemane Cemetery. Pallbearers were Norbert Spinner, Dennis O'Malley, Paul Spinner, Raymond Gantenbein, Leo Stirn and Harley Grotjahn. The Knights of Columbus honor guard was formed by Michael Connor, Phillip Rethwisch, Cyril Murphy, Thomas Kerndt, James Ryan and out of town members. Rosary Honorary pallbearers were Joseph Dunlevy, James Powers, Ed Sheriff, Leo Krieger, Ben Kelleher and Vic Johnson. An American Legion contingent attended the funeral Mass and presented colors at graveside.
Mr. Anderson was born in Chicago on September 30, 1907. He and Margaret Fitzgerald were united in marriage at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago on June 21, 1934. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife and five children; John, Mrs. John Morris (Gail), Mary, Susan and Kathy and grandchildren, Elizabeth and John Anthony Morris.
The Anderson family moved from Chicago to Lansing in 1940. For many years, Mr. Anderson served as sales representative for the Lansing Company and Armor Industries. Mr. Anderson held memberships in the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Elks, Holy Name Society, Rosary Society and served as president of the Iowa Reps Association.

Anderson, Evanston, Ill.; Mrs. Carl Pieritz, Evanston, Ill.; Mrs. Hazel Anderson, Arlington Heights, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. John Welch, daughters, Ellen and Patricia, Rochester, N.Y.; Mr. and Mrs. James Gustat, Streator, Ill.; and Sister Wilhelmina, Syracuse, N.Y.
Friends from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gantenbein, Green Bay, Wis,; Mr. and Mrs. Vince Farrar, Chicago, Ill.; Messrs. Wendell Byrd and Harry Tomhave, Marshalltown; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Spinner and Mr. George Thompson, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. Harry Carlson, Edina, Minn.; Mr. Stan Meullerleille, St. Peter, Minn.; Mr. Sam Grossman, Skoki (sic) Ill.; Mr. Don Renaud, Grinnell; Mr. C.A. Jellsett, Omaha, Nebr.; Mr. Arnie Spears, Cresco; Mr. Larry Finnell, Dyersville; Rose Wickham, Bette Huntington, Joan Koch, Mary Lou Connolly, Linda Flanders, Rita Krysko, Mt. Mercy College, Cedar Rapids.
