Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 8, 1978 at Martin funeral home for Lorna Wallace, 60, of Iowa City. Lorna died Sunday, August 6, at the Iowa City Care Center.
She was born April 15, 1918 in Waukon to Charles and Marthe Reune (sic*) Wallace. Lorna attended Waukon High School and the Paris Academy of Beauty in Cedar Rapids. She was a nurse's aid at Oakdale Security Medical Facility Sanitarium and a one-time bookkeeper at the First Presbyterian Church in Waukon of which she was a member.
Lorna is survived by her brother Everett of Waukon, and three nieces. Rev. William Tjaden officiated at the services and burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Donald Bahr, Charles Cook, Ed Lenth, Paul Sherman and Karl Simmons.
