The death of Miss Huldah Johnson, 91, Waukon, occurred Sunday, June 2, at the Good Samaritan Home. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. Malyn Hansing officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
She was born in Allamakee County on February 23, 1883 to Tolleff and Matilda Shager Johnson. She was employed for many years at the Lee Bros. Department Store and the J.C. Penny Co. She was organist at St. John's Lutheran Church for many years. She also served as treasurer of the church as Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by two sisters, Jeanette and Mrs. Alma Kosbau, both of Waukon and several nieces and nephews.
Martin Bros. Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
