Alice Cecelia Hess, 73, died at Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Waukon on Sunday morning, August 29.
Alice Hess was born August 31, 1902 at Lansing to Joseph and Frances Zoll Hess. She was employed by Lansing Co., Inc. for a number of years.
She is survived by two brothers, Urban Hess of Lansing and Victor Hess of DeSoto, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Martina Wilder of St. Louis Park, Minn., and Mrs. Albert (Genevieve) Brouillet of Clarksville, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Services were held at 11:00 a.m. today (Wednesday), September 1, at Immaculate Conception Church in Lansing. Fr. Carl Manternach officiated and burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery, Lansing.
Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
