Ole Orness, 85, passed away Sunday evening at the West Union Hospital following a series of strokes. He was born in Norway and came to Edgly, N.Dak. area when a young man. He came to Allamakee county in the early 1920's, working on farms around Mays Prairie. He was married to Rosa May who preceded him in death. He has lived at a retirement home for about five years. He leaves two sisters in Norway.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday
afternoon at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with Rev. Brugger officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill
Cemetery.
