Reginald F. Haney, age 70, of Waukon, died Friday, June 4, 2004, at Good Samaritan Center, Waukon. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 8 at Big Canoe Lutheran Church with David Andreae officiating. Burial was in the Iowa River Cemetery. Hanson Funeral Home in Waukon was in charge of arrangements.

Reginald Fillmore Haney was born February 11, 1934, in Waukon, the son of Floyd and Evelyn (Nelson) Haney. Reginald attended school through the eighth grade and later served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956.

On December 20, 1958, he married Ann Lunde at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, Minn. They lived in the Decorah and Waukon areas. Reginald was involved in construction work and was also a member of Big Canoe Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his children, Regina of Lansing, Iowa, Steve of La Crescent, Minn., David of La Crosse, Wis., Brian of Prairie du Chien, Wis., Pamela of McGregor, Iowa, and Karen of Decorah, Iowa; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and siblings Virginia Solem of Rochester, Minn., and Sharon Burch of Pine Island, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Evelyn Haney. Casketbearers were Steve Haney, David Haney, Brian Haney, Gary Gibbs, Scott Gibbs, and Brett Gibbs.
